United Way of Charles County’s mission is to provide all citizens of Charles County the means to invest in their community to bring about positive changes in peoples’ lives. We answer directly to you, the community, for all we do.
We promise to:
 FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS by partnering with government, business and other nonprofit organizations to solve our community’s most pressing problems. We will invest donor contributions in agencies and programs that address those problems, and we will keep you informed of the results.
MAXIMIZE YOUR IMPACT. By running a unified annual workplace campaign and utilizing trained volunteers, we are able to keep administrative and fundraising costs low. This allows us to make the most of your investment.
RESPECT YOUR CHOICE AND YOUR PRIVACY. If you choose to designate your gift to one or more of our partner agencies, we will disburse your contribution in accordance with your wishes and we will only divulge your name if you authorize us to do so. We never sell the names and addresses of our donors.
CARE FOR THE COMMUNITY by continuing to support partner agencies that have high standards of professional and fiscal accountability, and that provide services to the citizens of Charles County and the surrounding community.
